DIRECT METAL LASER SINTERING (DMLS)

DLMS-img
Metal laser sintering (DMLS) is an additive manufacturing process where parts are made from atomised metal alloys. With this technology, the machine produces powder layers of between 0.020-0.080 mm, depending on the characteristics of the part to be manufactured. The laser melts the corresponding area of each layer and repeats the process until the desired part is obtained.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum wall thickness 0,5 – 1 mm
Minimal detail to be reproduced 0.3 mm
Precision 0.1% (min +/- 0,2)
Maximum part size 400 * 400 * 400 mm
Layer thickness 0,020-0,080 mm

CUSTOMISE YOUR PIECES

If you wish to include customised texts in your DMLS pieces, please follow our recommendations.

If the text is to be engraved internally, higher print parameters must be set.

SUPPORT OPTIMISATION

In the Direct Metal Laser Sintering technology it is necessary to build supports that help sustain the piece and transmit the heat provided to the base. The technical team of the project will be in charge of removing them.

The real benefits of additive manufacturing

The real benefits of additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing has become difficult to ignore in the last few years. The media, universities and different sectors of industry are talking about it. This is possibly one of the key elements of the so-called Industry 4.0.  As we know, AF is a set of...
